Navigation channel: the present navigation channel is 6.1 nautical
miles long, in three sections: Sanya, Xixian and Niutou, with a
bottom width of 125 meters and depth of 9.5 meters. Upon completion
at the end of 2005 of the channel project now under construction,
the channel will be 160 meters wide and 16 meters deep at Sanya
Section, and 125 meters wide and 11 meters deep at both Xixian and
Niutou Sections. |
